Welcome to the Rotary Club of Elthorne Hillingdon

Welcome The Rotary Club of Elthorne Hillingdon, chartered in 1979, has a Trust Fund which is a registered charity. There are 33 men and women members who live in the London Borough of Hillingdon or close by. The Club is lively, dynamic and friendly, and in addition to upholding Rotary ideals, we believe in enjoying ourselves. Our current President is Mike Udall

Meetings The Club meets on Wednesday evening at 7.30pm for 8pm at the Uxbridge Cricket Club, Park Road, Uxbridge, approximately 15 minutes from Heathrow Airport. Visiting If you are a visiting Rotarian, who would like to book in for a meal, please either telephone our attendance officer John Bruton on 0208 866 6325 or e mail johnbruton24@hotmail.com. Alternatively just turn up between 7.30 and 8.00 pm and come to the main bar at the Uxbridge Cricket Club, after checking below that there is a club meeting on that date.

Social The Club organises social events such as a safari supper, theatre trips, golf competition, games evening, dances, weekends away and dinners with spouses. A weekend away at a country house hotel in Derbyshire was organised in May 2007 and another trip is was organised to Valencia in Spain, April 2008. We are the holders of the District 1090 darts trophy and in 2007/8 we are organising this event for the 2nd time. Our team have won the trophy two years running but in the 2007/8 competition our team lost to Abingdon Vesper in the quarter finals on February 25th. Regular visits to the theatres at Sonning, High Wycombe and Windsor are organised. Next visit to Windsor is September 4th to see an Agatha Christie thriller and February 14th 2009 is for The Mill at Sonning, see details under programme.
